This process yields a high-quality biofertilizer with diverse microbial communities, enhancing soil health and crop productivity. Through the interaction of earthworms and microorganisms, organic matter is broken down into a finely degraded substance resembling peat. Vermicompost is enriched with essential plant nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, making it an eco-friendly alternative to chemical fertilizers. Research has shown that vermicomposting improves soil structure, moisture retention, and nutrient availability, leading to better crop yields and overall soil health. Additionally, vermicomposting reduces environmental pollution and promotes sustainable agriculture by minimizing reliance on chemical in puts. It offers numerous benefits, including social, economic, and environmental advantages, making it a valuable practice for waste management and agricultural sustainability
Jagannath Naik Tanmayee Mahanaik Mahima Pradhan Akash Kumar Das Khushi Symon Meniswini Rout Somali Das Copyright (c) 2023 2024-02-23 2024-02-23 10 1 1 12 10.53555/eijbps.v10i1.50 DRUGS – CHEMICAL NATURE, STRUCTURE AND MODE OF ACTION http://eijbps.com/index.php/bps/article/view/51
Drugs are substances of low molecular weight that are used to prevent, treat, diagnose or relieve symptoms of a diseased condition. Drugs can block the binding site of enzymes and prevent binding of substrate. They may be antagonists as they bind to receptor site. Antacids cure acidity while tranquilizers treat stress. Analgesics relieve pain and antibiotics destroys microbes. Antiseptics and disinfectants kill or check growth of microbes.
Dr. Ranu Shukla Copyright (c) 2024 2024-02-25 2024-02-25 10 1 13 18 10.53555/eijbps.v10i1.51
