Publication Ethics

Governance of Research Integrity & Publication Ethics

EPH-International Journal of Biological & Pharmaceutical Science (IJBPS), published by Southern Cross Academic Press, is anchored in editorial independence and empirical accuracy. We adhere strictly to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to maintain a transparent and accountable scholarly environment.

1. The Evaluative Framework

The cornerstone of our publication workflow is a rigorous, impartial evaluation process:

  • Double-Blind Anonymity: To safeguard against bias, the identities of authors and reviewers remain mutually concealed throughout the review cycle.
  • Merit-Based Appraisal: Decisions are predicated exclusively on methodological clarity, experimental validity, and pharmaceutical significance.

2. Ethical Mandates & Integrity Management

We are firmly committed to academic honesty. Any potential breaches of ethics, including data fabrication or plagiarism, are investigated thoroughly to protect the scientific record.

Correction of the Scholarly Record

Recognizing the importance of archival accuracy, the journal provides mechanisms for correcting unintentional oversights. When significant errors are identified post-publication, a formal Corrigendum or necessary notice is issued in alignment with COPE protocols to ensure the ongoing reliability of the research.

3. Procedural Transparency

Authors retain the right to contest editorial outcomes through a formal Appeals Process directed to the Editor-in-Chief. Furthermore, Authorship Integrity is strictly enforced; any modification to contributor lists post-submission requires signed authorization from all involved parties.

4. Privacy & Data Protection Statement

All personal identifiers, including institutional affiliations and contact details, are collected exclusively for the purposes of peer review and publication. Southern Cross Academic Press employs advanced technical protocols to prevent unauthorized access. Personal data is never distributed to third parties for commercial use or marketing.

This policy is periodically reviewed to ensure alignment with evolving COPE guidelines and international publishing ethics.
