Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy & Originality Standards

The EPH - International Journal of Biological & Pharmaceutical Science (IJBPS) is committed to the highest levels of scholarly integrity. To safeguard the credibility of pharmaceutical literature, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding academic dishonesty and ensure that every manuscript contributes unique value to the scientific community.

1. Categorizing Research Misconduct

Plagiarism is the unauthorized representation of external ideas, data, or language as one's own. This includes:

  • • Direct & Structural Replication: Reproducing text or experimental frameworks without explicit citation.
  • • Insufficient Attribution: Presenting findings from other sources with inadequate or misleading paraphrasing.
  • • Text Recycling (Self-Plagiarism): Republishing one’s own previously documented research without proper disclosure.

2. Editorial Verification Protocols

Detection & Analysis

We utilize iThenticate and Turnitin to analyze submissions. Editors distinguish between standard scientific terminology and actual plagiarism to ensure a nuanced, fair evaluation.

Ethical Enforcement

Suspected violations are investigated using COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) flowcharts. IJBPS reserves the right to reject or retract work found in breach of these standards.

3. Responsibility of Authorship

Authors bear the ultimate responsibility for the originality of their work. This includes ensuring that all datasets are accurate and that collaborative contributions are properly credited. If Generative AI tools are employed in the drafting process, authors remain fully accountable for the factual precision and uniqueness of the output.

Statement of Originality

By submitting to IJBPS, authors certify that their manuscript is an original contribution that has not been published elsewhere. We align our practices with Crossref Similarity Check guidelines to support a transparent and trustworthy scholarly ecosystem.
